Little Mariah Anderson has been fighting for her life for two years now. But she’s blissfully unaware that Internet trolls have given her image a life of its own and not in a good way.
Mariah’s mom, Kyra Pringle, posted a photo on Facebook to celebrate her daughter’s second birthday. The photo went viral, and became a running joke online. Mariah suffers from a rare disease called Chromosome Two Duplication Syndrome, which harms her learning and motor skills, and some Internet pranksters made fun of her appearance.
“The smile that you guys think is funny or the smile that you guys are comparing to a leprechaun, the things you guys are saying about my child. She’s not a monster, she’s real,” Pringle told WCBD-TV.
Pringle shared this video on her Facebook page Sunday to show a better side of her “little fighter,” whose life expectancy is sadly quite short.
