Step Inside This Dreamy Painted Lady
When it comes to interior design, we’re quite fickle in our tastes. Shabby-chic cabins, modern farmhouses, and even midcentury style all make us swoon. So when we spied this extra special Victorian home on Curbed, we wondered if we’d finally found the home that could satisfy all of our decorative yearnings.
Dated back to 1892, this Queen Anne is, of course, chock full of period details like weighty carved molding, floral flourishes, and other Downton Abbey-esque touches. But it’s also got a sleek kitchen, a light-flooded breakfast nook that mimics a Florida room, and even rustic paneled ceilings that juxtapose wonderfully against saturated Persian rugs. Still, if we lived here, we might never make it inside. The wrap-around porch (complete with swing!) might be the most inviting spot.
